This weekend I was reminded, once again, that soccer’s not all happy times bouncing about in the terrace while your merrily singing the clubs chants… You really go through a lot of frustration and suffering together with your club… and St. Pauli fans have been going through some tough times sitting on a five game loosing streak.
Collecting zero out of a possible fifteen points isn’t the only issue. We’ve also had to cope with a few games, like this weekend against Frankfurt, where we defiantly played the better ball game but just don’t have the luck or ability to score the needed gaols. Attractive soccer isn’t helping us at the moment… and too many of those short passes inside and around the penalty area just aren’t reaching the man… I just don’t understand why no ones up for taking a crack from a reasonable distance… Either way the boys on the field have been fighting every game and they’ve defiantly been unlucky over the last weeks.
We all know that it’s late in the season, we’re still stuck on a relegation spot with a few hard arse matchups coming up… honestly that doesn’t sound to good… but the seasons not over yet and we can’t let any doubt set in. We got to keep up the support and let the team know that we’re still behind them and believe they can still turn things around.
